Press Release

ART PRODUCTION FUND & FORT GANSEVOORT
in partnership with Rockefeller Center© invited children of all ages to participate in an ART SUNDAE workshop featuring a winter themed art-making experience with illustrator ANGELICA HICKS Coinciding with the arrival of the 2019 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree!

New York-based artist Angelica Hicks lead an artmaking workshop for children of all ages on November 9th at Rockefeller Center. Inspired by Hicks’ work, kids decorated wooden snowflakes with glitter, gems and black marker. Their creations were used to create a public art installation in collaboration with Hicks. The “snow globe” project is on view at the Ticket Booth located on the Concourse Level of Rockefeller Center.

ART SUNDAE is a public program created by the non-profit Art Production Fund and gallery Fort Gansevoort that is designed to build confidence in children through artmaking. The free program offers children the opportunity to work with a contemporary artist to create public art projects.
