C.T. JASPER: STANDARD PROJECTION
- Date: September 30, 2013
- Location: The Standard Hotel, Hollywood

Artist C.T. Jasper’s “ERASED” is the latest film to be part of Art Production Fund’s 24/7 Projection series shown in the Lobby of The Standard, Hollywood, and in-room in both The Standard, Hollywood and The Standard, Downtown LA.
For “ERASED”, C.T. Jasper took two cinematic masterpieces, David Lynch’s Blue Velvet and Volker Schloedorff’s Tin Drum, removed all the characters, and left everything else untouched. The plot and narratives continue on through the presence of lamps, utensils, furniture, doors that open and close, occasional animals, sounds, wind, and light. The end result is an art piece that re-contextualizes the films and their various elements while expanding upon the artist’s explorations of the narrative potential of architecture and material culture in general.
C.T. Jasper’s installation will be on display as part of Art Production Fund’s 24/7 Projection series shown in the Lobby of The Standard, Hollywood and in-room at both The Standards, Hollywood and Downtown through the end of the year.
