It is a time of critical transition. The bubble that initiated prices and careers has burst. Consequently, our attitudes towards the world around us and the artwork we look at have changed. What was grand now seems ostentatious, what was imposing now seems easy.
Small packages is a collection of work set in opposition to the exhausted ethos of bigger is better. The show’s title simultaneously refers to the midwive’s adage of “good things come in small packages,” as well as the “small packages” that have historically been the impetus for the creation of large and imposing objects.
The exhibit will run from September 16 through October 10 at the APF LAB: 15 Wooster St. NYC from 10am – 6pm daily. A reception will be held on September 16 from 6-9pm.Download PDF
